亚特兰大 is a vibrant hub for the arts—from filmmaking and music to live 剧院 and visual arts—and Lovett is proud to be a part of it. The Fine 艺术 are essential to founder Eva Edwards Lovett’s philosophy of educating the whole child, and it shows: more than 85 percent of our students participate in our extensive fine arts offerings through the year. The Lovett Fine 艺术 Department promotes the development of student talent, both individually and collectively, while providing an education that fosters creative learning and excellence in the arts.
At Lovett, students engage in various offerings taught by nationally recognized artist faculty. Offerings include visual arts, instrumental and choral ensembles, 剧院, stage design and production, broadcast, and dance. Through Lovett’s uniquely specialized honors-level Fine 艺术 courses such as Honors Visual 艺术, Photography, Ellington Jazz Ensemble, Collegium Orchestra, Lovett Singers, and Honors Theater, Lovett Fine 艺术 distinguishes itself as one of the most robust independent school arts programs in the Southeast.

A Lovett arts education goes beyond the K-12 experience. It helps students to see their world and their lives with clarity. It fosters empathy and connections no other activity can produce. Graduates return to tell us how their arts education at Lovett changed them—both for their work and their daily lives—and prepared them for their future.
